Kyol Che is a time to investigate your life closely. This experience can bring about a clearer, more compassionate direction, and more harmonious relationships within all aspects of life. Conducted in silence, the daily schedule includes sitting, chanting, walking, and bowing meditations, as well as work practice. Meals are eaten in silence in traditional temple style. The retreat leader gives dharma talks and kong-an teaching interviews. Retreat ends with lunch on the last day.
Minimum participation is one week. Entries an exits are Saturday mornings at 8:00am, except initial entry on Monday January 4th and final exit on Friday April 1st.
7-Day YMJJ Retreat with Zen Master Soeng Hyang (Barbara Rhodes) December 6th-12th.
Yong Maeng Jong Jin retreats are held in silence. The schedule each day consists of ten hours of Zen practice (bowing, chanting, sitting and walking), work, rest periods and vegetarian meals eaten in traditional temple style. Includes talks and kong an interviews.
Minimum participation is 24 hours. This retreat will begin on Sunday at 1:30.
Entry days are Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Exits are after breakfast each morning.
